Annapolis, MD (October 20, 2016) – Purple Cherry Architects—a 20-year old Annapolis based full-service architecture and interior design firm specializing in custom luxury homes and interiors—has been awarded a “Designers’ Choice Award” in the category of Local Traditional Architect by Home & Design Magazine, the top resource for luxury consumers who want to tap into the design and architecture communities in the Baltimore-Washington region.

“Every year, Home & Design surveys hundreds of Washington-area architects and interior designers for its Designers’ Choice Awards. The award recipients have truly been vetted by an audience of their peers,” said Sharon Jaffe Dan, editor in chief, Home & Design. “Given architect Cathy Purple Cherry’s breadth of experience, talent and keen eye for design, we were not surprised to see her chosen for this honor in 2017.”

Upon learning of the recognition, Cathy Purple Cherry, founder and principal of Purple Cherry Architects shared, “Words cannot express how honored I am to have been selected by popular vote for the traditional home award given by Home & Design Magazine,” said Cherry. “I’m thankful for my clients and for my incredible team at Purple Cherry Architects.

An awards celebration was held on October 19th at The Lauren Rooftop Terrace in Bethesda, MD, where Home & Design Magazine’s editor in chief, Sharon Jaffe Dan and editor Julie Sanders presented Designers’ Choice awards to Purple Cherry Architects along with other industry winners that won in various categories.
