The AIABaltimore Healthcare Committee will be hosting its first ever Healthcare Design Showcase- Mending Maryland through Innovation on Wednesday, December 2nd from 5:30-7:30 PM at Price Modern
The goal of this exhibition is to showcase design innovation in healthcare. This event is intended to be a fun way for architects, engineers, and contractors to show the local A/E/C community what they’ve been creating within facilities often difficult for members of the public to access.
The AIA Baltimore Healthcare Committee is interested in bringing a forum to members of the A/E/C industry to showcase their innovative projects with peers, while also being afforded the opportunity to observe the creative work of others. This is an opportunity for those who work in the ever changing and constantly challenging world of healthcare to celebrate successes, share best practices, strategize solutions, and discuss adaptation.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine will be provided at the showcase event on December 2nd.
Submit a Project
We are seeking submissions of work that demonstrates innovative approaches to the design of healing environments within local hospitals, private practices, and ambulatory care centers.
All firms within the A/E/C industry are invited to participate. Projects must have been designed or constructed within the past 3 years (2013-2015). Projects must be designed/constructed for institutions within the state of Maryland. Projects may be of any size or value.
Exhibition cost is $25 per entry.
Upload the completed submission form and digital board using the Dropbox link below. A physical board must also be mailed to AIABaltimore. Boards must conform to the template provided below. Further instructions are included in the submission form and below. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, November 24. Firms may make multiple submissions.

A template for the production of the exhibition boards will be provided to all participants. Boards shall be mounted on 36×36’’, 1/4’’ foam core. These are to be produced at the cost of the submitting firm and delivered to AIABaltimore (11 ½ West Chase Street, Baltimore, MD 21201).
