Future Architects Resources (FAR) at the 5th Annual HoCo STEM Festival

Marcus Clinton, Summayah Raji and Melissa Rodriguez representing FAR at the HoCo Stem Festival.

Howard County, Maryland (June 9, 2017) – The 5th Annual HoCo STEM Festival was held at the Howard County Community College’s new SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) building, where students and parents made their way through two floors of exhibits.
Popular activities at the Future Architects Resources (FAR) table included Lincoln Logs, magnetic puzzles and the Design Your Dream House competition. Even one of the security guards submitted his dream house entry. Three winners, two of whom were very enthusiastic best friends, were announced towards the end of the event and each received a copy of a Minecraft design book. In addition to the activities, Melissa Rodriguez, AIA, brought along photos of renderings and BIM models that we displayed on the monitor behind our table. Summayah Raji posted hand sketches from a recent project at Morgan State and discussed her sketch book with the students.
FAR participants included:

  • Tara Labosky, AIA
  • Marcus Clinton
  • Summayah Raji
  • Melissa Rodriguez, AIA
