Entropy and the Exploding Hospital by Rolf Haarstad, AIA

Rolf Haarstad is a principal with HGA Architects and Engineers. With a specialty in healthcare projects, he has led the design and delivery of several major projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region. He is a member of the board of Western Maryland Health System.

Innovate instead of Replicate in Senior Living Design by Jane M. Rohde, AIA

Jane M. Rohde is the principal of JSR Associates in Ellicott City.  She champions a global cultural shift toward de-institutionalizing senior living through her consulting, research and advocacy. In 2015, Jane received the first Change-maker Award for Environments for Aging from The Center for Health Design.

Healing Green:  Ten Principles for Creating a Healing Landscape by Steve Kelly

Steve Kelly is the Associate Principal at Mahan Rykiel Associates. With over twenty years of experience in landscape architectural design, he has been involved in hospital master planning, and the design of healing gardens, cancer center infusion gardens, prayer gardens, and dementia gardens.
