AIABaltimore Resiliency Committee Presents: SAP “Train the Trainer” Course
October 25, 2014 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Presented by the AIABaltimore Resiliency Committee
8 HSW AIA CEU credits
Join us on Saturday, October 25, 2014 when the AIA Baltimore Resiliency Committee will host a regional Cal-EMA Safety Assessment “Train-the-Trainer” Course, presented by Michael Lingerfelt, FAIA. The training will be held to educate a group of leaders in the architectural and engineering fields to perform future SAP trainings.
Safety Assessment Programs (SAP), in general, are held to educate architects to become active participants in recovery and response efforts in the event of a major disaster. Materials covered include SAP program overview, process and procedures, building evaluation, field safety, and more. Experience in disaster response is preferred, however, not required to take this course. The course will also be covering general SAP training material so previous SAP training is not required.
We do ask that all participants be excited and willing to present at future trainings throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided.
Materials for the course, including ATC-20 and ATC-45 Field Manuals will be provided for those who have been not previously been trained and are included in the registration cost. We ask that those who have been previously trained to bring your books to the program. If you have been trained and do not have the required books, please register under the “Untrained Professional” ticket and indicate that you have been SAP trained in the registration questionnaire.
