About Open Works

One of Maryland’s most anticipated projects, Open Works opened its doors to the public in September 2016. Non-profit developer Baltimore Arts Realty Corporation, transformed a former distribution warehouse into a 34,000 square foot, state-of-the-art incubator/workspace for craftsmen and artists.

Located in the heart of the Station North Arts & Entertainment District at 1400 Greenmount Avenue, the facility has wood and metal shops, 3-D printing and textile studios, classrooms, and an electronics and computer lab. All are accessible through monthly memberships, which cost between $70 and $125, or a day pass for $25. For $125 a month, entrepreneurs and artists can rent one of the 140 mico-studios, which offer a storage locker, conference room access, and an individual address for establishing a business headquarters. In addition to these individual membership plans, Open Works offers corporate membership plans. Through a partnership with AIABaltimore, Open Works is offering a 10% discount to individual AIA members.
