Center Stage Renovation Completion Tour
August 14 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
1.5 AIA/CES LUs available
The AIABaltimore Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is returning to Center Stage.
In order to better accommodate an audience of more than 100,000 people each year in Baltimore, Center Stage underwent a comprehensive renovation of its historic home on Calvert Street in Mount Vernon.
The project encompasses a complete transformation of all public spaces, a re-imagined head theater, an experimental black box performance space, and a long overdue overhaul of mechanical and electrical infrastructure. A new education center and costume shop was built as an addition to the existing building. State-of-the-art audiovisual and lighting effects permeate the design, pairing 21st century technology with a historic backdrop. The project involved a preservation easement concerning particular interior features and required comprehensive review with the community, CHAP, MHT, and the Planning Department.
Please join us for a completion tour of the project led by the design team. Afterwards, join us for a happy hour reception at Brew House No. 16.
