Creating a Center for Environmental Inspiration

August 18, 2014 @ 5:30 am - 7:30 pm

Join us to learn more about the Brock Environmental Center being built by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to engage, inform, and inspire generations about the environment and how we can all help Save the Bay™. The Brock Center, located at Pleasure House Point in Virginia Beach, Virginia, will be an innovative example of environmentally sensitive and sustainable building—one of the greenest facilities to embrace a net-zero energy and net-zero water approach—and advance CBF’s efforts to defend one of the nation’s most valuable and threatened natural resources, the Chesapeake Bay. The Brock Environmental Center will meet the strictest environmental standards in accordance with the Living Building Challenge™. The building’s footprint will use less than an acre of CBF’s 10-acre parcel, a very small percentage of the total area of Pleasure House Point.
