EQUITY COMMITTEE of AIABaltimore seeks to promote an inclusive environment for all design professionals – to provide a forum for mentorship, networking opportunities, and personal and career development, while celebrating our diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and achievements.
OPEN WORKS has a mission to make tools, technology, and the knowledge to use them accessible and affordable. They do this through membership access to workshops; friendly, expert staff; and classes for youth, adults, and families.
BALTIMORE DESIGN SOIRÉES – Since 2004, quarterly design soirees have been held around the city and region on each solstice and equinox in a keep-it-simple, no-guesswork convention of hosting open crits several times a year. Participants can present their personal and professional projects for feedback in an interactive, interdisciplinary exchange. The aim is for this open dialogue to afford fresh insight for Baltimore’s creative community of artists, architects, designers, poets, writers, and other artistic disciplines.
