Good Design=Good Health: AIABaltimore Health & Wellness 2nd Annual Showcase
February 15 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
2 AIA/CES HSW LUs available
The AIABaltimore Health & Wellness Committee is hosting its 2nd Annual Design Showcase: Good Design=Good Health. The exhibition is intended to be a fun way for architects, engineers, urban planners, interior designers, contractors and others to show the local community how they’ve been creating healthy spaces. The goal of the exhibition is to showcase designs that promote health and wellness in a variety of ways.
This year’s theme paints a broad stroke of healthy design. U.S. News contributor, Gloria Caulfield wrote “A healthy city enhances how we live, work and play, delivering a quality of life that emphasizes health, well-being and social connectedness.” Cities and communities that foster this type of well-being don’t just happen—it takes forward thinking and innovative designers.
From the urban planner who designed bike lane routes through the city to the architect’s design of community schools, everyone brings their own ideas of a healthy environment and how to create it. Baltimore’s design community has been working diligently to create a healthy city for their communities.
What you can look forward to
The AIABaltimore Health & Wellness Committee intends to bring members of the design community together to showcase their designs with peers. We will come together to celebrate our successes, share best practices, strategize solutions, and discuss adaptation.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine will be provided.
