“Smith, Armistead, and Key: Memorializing the Heroes of the War of 1812”

5 p.m. Reception and Book Signing at Homewood Museum / 6 p.m. Lecture in 111 Mergenthaler Hall

CINDY KELLY, author of “Outdoor Sculpture in Baltimore: A Historical Guide to Public Art in the Monumental City” and a former director of the Johns Hopkins University Museums, will offer a colorful, anecdotal history of Baltimore’s heroic memorials to leading figures of the War of 1812.

Price: $12 public; $8 members. Free for full-time students with valid ID. Advance, pre-paid registration is strongly encouraged.

Register by calling 410.516.5589. Walk-in registration based on availability (cash or check only accepted at the door).

Parking: Johns Hopkins Club parking lot, accessible from San Martin Drive (directions). Please note that you will need to take a ticket to activate the parking gate, however, the exit gate will be open so the ticket will not need to be validated.
