Structura Promotes Jason Dreher and Mark Erdman to Principals

Rockville, MD (January 15, 2015) –Structura, Inc., a structural engineering firm with offices in Rockville and Baltimore, has promoted long-time employees Jason Dreher and Mark Erdman to the role of principal.

About Structura Principal Jason Dreher

Jason color picDreher joined Structura in 1999 and has served as the Engineer-of-Record for numerous projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region. His experience spans a broad spectrum of market sectors and building types, and he has led Structura’s effort to integrate engineering services with the latest trends in Building Information Modeling technologies and project delivery methods. As an instrumental member of Structura’s management team, Dreher plays a key role in strategic planning for the firm and is responsible for overall engineering operations.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from The University of Maryland. He is a member of The University of Maryland Senate and an Adjunct Professor in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.

About Structura Principal Mark Erdman

Mark color picErdman also began his employment with Structura in 1999 and has a wide range of experience with projects involving new and existing structures. He has served as lead designer on various projects constructed in structural steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, lightgage steel, and wood. Erdman currently manages Structura’s office in downtown Baltimore. In addition to his design responsibilities, he oversees the firm’s recruiting efforts, manages financial performance, and is active in new business development for both the DC and Baltimore markets.

Also a proud graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Mark is a professional affiliate member of AIA Baltimore and the Urban Land Institute, and a member of American Council of Engineering Companies/ MD (ACEC/MD), as well as the Council of American Structural Engineers(CASE), where he was a member of the Toolkit Committee.
