Multidisciplinary planning, design, engineering, and consulting firm, VHB, is supporting Rutgers University with transportation planning services in support of their master plan. As one of the largest land owners in the State of New Jersey, with nearly 6,000 acres of land containing more than 700 buildings, Rutgers is developing a Physical Master Plan that will outline a growth strategy for its buildings and land over the next decade. As the 65,000-student university continues to grow, Rutgers is taking a big look at all the property the school owns and developing a long-range plan for its campuses.
This master plan focuses on connectivity within the campuses and among the campuses. VHB is leading the transportation planning initiative as part of a multidisciplinary team including Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) and Sasaki Associates.
