Baltimore, MD (April 7, 2016) Wohlsen Construction Company of Baltimore, MD and Visit Baltimore celebrated the completion of the renovations to the Baltimore Visitor Center with Baltimore-based architecture firm Ayers Saint Gross.
Located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the newly renovated, 5,292 square foot building serves as an information center for the 11 million tourists that visit the harbor annually, featuring interactive LED touchscreens, moveable displays, optimized storage, and electrical upgrades.
These improvements allow the center to be easily converted into a venue for various events including receptions, conferences, and live entertainment. Additional renovations to the center are planned for the winter of 2016.
The Baltimore Visitor Center is the first project in the West Shore / Rash Field masterplan, which aims to redevelop the southern half of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, and will provide both orientation services to tourists and entertainment to locals.
Wohlsen Construction Company, celebrating its 125th anniversary, is a Green Plus Certified company and one of the leading merit shop construction firms in the Mid-Atlantic States.
