CANStruction 2017

CANstruction® is a unique design competition and charity event that supports local hunger relief organizations. Each year this global event gathers teams of architects, engineers, contractors and students to design one-of-a-kind structures made entirely out of canned foods. This year, seven teams from the Baltimore region will assemble structures at the passenger terminals at BWI Airport. The structures will be on view for two weeks. All cans from these structures will be donated to the Maryland Food Bank after the event.

In its seven-year history, AIABaltimore’s participation in CANstruction has presented the Maryland Food Bank with close to 75,000 pounds of food and over $5000 in cash donations.

Schedule:

September 9 – CANstruction Build Day

September 18 – Reception and Awards Presentation
