CANSTRUCTION

CANstruction is a national event that gathers teams of architects, engineers, contractors, students, and the public to design and build structures made entirely from canned foods within a 10’x10’x10’ space. Afterwards, all the canned goods are donated to the Maryland Food Bank. In the past seven years, through AIA Baltimore’s participation in CANstruction, we have donated over 75,000 pounds of canned food!

CANstruction is a great opportunity to earn credits for the Architect Experience Program AXP (formerly IDP) and to participate in community service. The event will return in 2017 to be displayed at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Volunteer today!

CANstruction rules are available as a PDF,  Find out more about CANstruction through CANSTRUCTION.org
