Lydia Kimball Joins Floura Teeter Landscape Architects

Baltimore, MD (March 5, 2015)Floura Teeter Landscape Architects, Inc. (FTLA) announces that Lydia Kimball, a licensed landscape architect and LEED AP with an advanced designation in the Building Design & Construction specialty, has joined the firm. In her new position with FTLA, Kimball will help to grow the academic and healthcare sectors of the firm, and support all sectors with her focus on horticulture and healthy environments.

Kimball has practiced landscape architecture since 1987, serving as Project Manager or Principal in Charge for projects across a wide variety of markets. As an experienced leader of design teams, Kimball has extensive knowledge and experience in the academic and healthcare sectors, and has guided in-house crews through the entire planning and construction process. Her successful management of many projects has earned her numerous awards, as well as invitations to be a guest critic or speaker for a variety of conferences and higher education institutions.

FTLA President Joan Floura says Kimball’s background in horticulture has informed her design approach. Floura says, “Lydia is skilled at using plant material to frame spaces, connect to the natural world and support a healthy environment. That, combined with her track record leading a broad variety of successful projects makes her a versatile asset to the Floura Teeter team.”
