Support Baltimore Design School

From Lara Johnson, Board Member, Baltimore Design School:

The Baltimore Design School will serve as a national model for design-integrated learning.  At this innovative school within the Baltimore City Public School System, design and creative problem-solving pervades and informs all aspects of a rigorous academic curriculum.  The combined middle and high school is located in the Station North Arts District in a former 110,000-SF clothing factory that has been transformed into a state-of -the-art facility for architectural design, fashion design and graphic design.

BDS is incorporated as a non-profit organization with an independent board of directors.  Leveraging a strong public-private partnership has helped provide the school with a great new facility.  However, the board is currently seeking funds to close a budget deficit for many of the operational and capital expenses not met by the school system.  AIABaltimore encourages you to make a tax-deductible donation starting at $20 by visiting the school’s website.
