Baltimore, MD — VHB is working with Johns Hopkins University and Streetsense to strengthen connections between campus and community, while creating an energetic and livable neighborhood for college students and residents at Charles Village. The goal of this collaborative project is to help reinforce a residential district adjacent to the Homewood campus by integrating a 157-unit student housing development into the John’s Hopkins community.  VHB’s transportation planners and designers developed urban street design alternatives and concepts that increase walkability and improve both local-area traffic flow and pedestrian safety. VHB is also developing a district-wide parking strategy.
