The Early Women of Architecture in Maryland website is the product of a research project conducted by the Baltimore Architecture Foundation and the AIA Baltimore Equity Committee with the help of students from Morgan State University. There is not much research about early women architects in Maryland, and what exists is difficult to find. This project uncovered the lives of Maryland’s earliest women in architecture and reveals the challenges of making it in a male dominated profession.
